BRXND AMBASSADOR ATHLETES HONORED BY
JOHN R. LEWIS LEGACY INSTITUTE AS FIRST
JOHN R. LEWIS FELLOW HONOREES
BRXND and the John R. Lewis Legacy Institute today announced, on Congressman John Lewis’ birthday, two Woodward Academy students Sasha Barjon and Jalen Woods as honorees of the first ever, John R. Lewis Fellows award. The exclusive gala held this past Saturday, at the Porsche Experience Center was themed ‘The Legacy Continues,’ and brought together political, business and community leaders from Troy, Alabama to Atlanta, Georgia.
The awards were presented by the John R. Lewis Legacy Institute and honored individuals who embody the highest values of Congressman John R. Lewis and continue his legacy. Sasha and Jalen were honored for their work with BRXND, an organization co-founded by Woodward students focused on preparing student-athletes for their futures in sport and beyond.
